Tot in 2001 werden in Kenia bijvoorbeeld 27.000 exemplaren van de Peugeot 504 gebouwd en tot eind 2005 in Nigeria zelfs 425.000 exemplaren. Ook in andere landen werd de 504 geassembleerd. Bijvoorbeeld in Argentini\u00eb, Zuid-Afrika, Taiwan, China, Australi\u00eb en Nieuw-Zeeland. Veelal landen waar destijds de infrastructuur nog niet het niveau van die in Europa had bereikt. In totaal zijn ruim 3,7 miljoen Peugeots 504 geproduceerd en opgereden totdat het echt niet meer ging.
