Deze brochure, geheel in het Nederlands uitgebracht, straalt de tijdgeest van begin jaren zestig uit, waarin comfort en veiligheid steeds belangrijkere aspecten werden voor de automobilist.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">De Peugeot 404 werd in de brochure gepresenteerd als een moderne wagen met een uitzonderlijk rijcomfort. Opvallend voor die tijd was de mogelijkheid om de auto uit te rusten met\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">airconditioning<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0een luxe optie die slechts bij zeer weinig auto&#8217;s beschikbaar was begin jaren \u201960. Hiermee richtte Peugeot zich op de veeleisende rijder die zowel stijl als praktisch comfort zocht.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Wat opvalt in de brochure is de duidelijke aandacht\u00a0voor veiligheid. Peugeot\u00a0onderstreepte\u00a0onder meer de degelijke carrosseriestructuur, de goede wegligging en de remcapaciteiten van de 404. De brochure legt nadruk op het beschermingsniveau voor de bestuurder en de inzittenden, iets wat toen nog geen vanzelfsprekend marketingargument was.
