No harshness

In October 1969 Peugeot introduced the 304. The car was intended to fill the gap between the 204 and the 404. Technically the car was related to the 204, but designer Pininfarina gave the car an appearance in line with the 504 presented the year before.

In 1970, the 304 Coupé and Cabriolet were introduced to replace the 204 Coupé and Cabriolet. The series was completed when the 304 Break was introduced in 1971. Production of the 304 Saloon stopped in March 1979; the 304 Estate continued to be delivered alongside the 305 sedan until May 1980. Production number: 1,178,425 units.
